New Library System Launches July 12

On Tuesday, July 12, the Library will officially go live with a new cloud-based Library Services Platform, Alma from Ex Libris. While most of the changes are internal and will only affect Library staff workflows, there will be some public-facing changes to the Library’s online services, including the launch of a new Discovery Search service capable of delivering all types of library content in a unified interface.

The new search system, Primo, will also be integrated with Bellevue University’s BRUIN Connect Single-Sign-On. This will allow students, staff, and faculty the ability to easily login and manage their library accounts, view current checkouts, place holds, renew items, create title lists and more with the same login they use for all other Bellevue University systems. All of this should create a more intuitive and unified user experience for all Library patrons and employees.

Primo will replace our current EBSCO Discovery Search system, eCatalog, A-Z Journal List, and ContentDM Digital Archives system. These services will no longer be accessible starting July 31. If you have any questions, please contact Joel Hartung, Assistant Director, Library Systems.
