What it’s about: The second book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series picks up shortly after the first book ends. The storyline follows Feyre who is contending with the sudden expectations for her to fit into he role of a quiet, delicate lady despite having just proven her worth as a fighter. She is surprised to find that her supposed nemesis is the one most concerned for her well-being and more so that he’s the one arranging her escape. From there, Feyre starts on the path to finding her true potential and unlocking great powers
Why we recommend it: This book features incredible examples of character growth, epic fights, and forging strong relationships. Feyre faces many struggles in the beginning of the book but seizes the opportunity to overcome them and embrace her own abilities and strengths. Following along as she learns more about the people and world around her gives the reader the chance to watch as she grows and evolves into a powerful warrior capable of so much more than she ever dreamed. This is a great novel and would be a perfect choice for anyone interested in fantasy, strong female leads, and fey/fairies.
