Hug Your Cat Day, also referred to as National Hug Your Cat Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated on June 4th of every year. It is one of those pleasingly straightforward holidays adding a little warmth and companionship into your life. No matter how bad or troubling life gets, you can always count on your furry friend to be there for you. Cats will express great affection towards their human, especially if they are treated with consistent affection. Even though your cat may be spoiled the other 364 days of the year, cat owners can express a little extra love to their feline companions with a big hug or an extra scratch between their ears or under their chin. This will not only make your cat feel good, studies have shown that giving your cat an extra hug or scratch will lower the owner’s blood pressure and decrease stress.
