ACSM’s Health and Fitness Journal Review

Attention fitness instructors, personal trainers, exercise leaders, program managers, and other front-line health and fitness professionals, ACSM’s Health and Fitness Journal is written just for you to help you in your career.  ACSM stands for the American College of Sports Medicine.  Their objective is to encourage and deliver truthful, unbiased, and dependable information on health and fitness.  The Journal strives to help health and fitness practitioners improve their knowledge and experience through reports and recommendations from experts, CEC (Continuing Education Credit) offerings, opportunities to question the experts, listings of job openings, and more.

 

Some of the departments found in the issue include Fitness Focus, ACSM News Briefs, Health & Fitness from A to Z, Take 10 (lists of 10 items).  These departments may be found in every other issue: Do It Right, Enhancing Your Behavioral Toolkit, Celebrate Success!, Clinical Applications,  Worksite Health Promotion, Business Edge, The Legal Aspects, Research Bites, A Nutritionist’s View, and ACSM Educational Opportunities, Meetings, and Providers.

ACSM’s Health and Fitness Journal is published bimonthly by Wolters Kluwer Health, Inc.  It is a print journal and can be found in the periodical section of the Bellevue University Library.  It is new, so coverage is from January, 2019, to the present.
