It’s the season for baking and celebrations! December is well underway, bringing the New Year closer with each breath we take. Or each cookie we bake. To celebrate the lovely time of year where we can smell fresh baked cookies – December 18th is your day! National Bake Cookies day is a real holiday folks, one full of beautiful gooey cookies to eat.

With the holidays taking up most of our time it’s hard to know what to make. Sure, there’s your classic sugar cookies, but why not take this special day to whip up something new? It’ll tantalize your taste buds and maybe help keep you from feeling winter blues.

Take a bite out of these delicious treats:

Perfect moist and puffy cookies with fresh blueberries bursting inside.  These cookies are a mix between a blueberry muffin and a soft and chewy cookie.  Drizzled in a lemon glaze, these will becom...Blueberry Cream Cheese Cookies: The name makes the dish. Carrot Cake Cookies:  These carrot cake cookies pack a punch with pumpkin spice mixed in with half a cup of honey and some freshly shredded carrots. Choose Walnuts or Pecans and a glaze to top off this delicious cookie. This tasty treat may be low in sugar, it doesn’t make it any less sweet.

Chocolate Galaxy Cookies -- these cookies are BEAUTIFUL and way easier to make than you'd think!!Galaxy Cookies: The secret to these cookies is the dark cocoa powder added to make those gorgeous cut out cookies look like the night sky. Making the galaxy takes a bit more work – blue, pink, and purple gel food coloring mixed with vanilla and a flavor of your choice. Lemon Curd Cookies - Check! Except I used, gluten free flour, oil instead of butter, a bit of ginger powder, vanilla and almond extract. I also eyeballed ingredients and lessened the amount of sugar! Still absolutely decadent!

Lemon Curd Cookies: These cookies may be small but they’re bite sized fun! One inch balls of dough with an indent from a finger to hold the delicious lemon curd filling. Cover these cookies with powdered sugar to make a winter wonderland treat.

S'more Chocolate Chip Gooey Bliss CookiesS’mores Chocolate Chip Cookies: When it’s too cold to sit outside and make S’mores, just stay in and make cookies some more! S’more cookies take the best ingredients and put them into a delicious package. You start with your basic chocolate chip cookies, add marshmallows to the mixture and bake them to perfection.
