National Library Week 2017

NLW2017This week is National Library Week, and we are hosting events all week long to celebrate! Keep reading for a summary of everything going on at the Library this week.

Library Open House: Wednesday, April 12: 2:00-3:30 pm.   University staff and faculty are invited to come to the Library and enjoy live music and refreshments, as well as the presentation of the 2017 Friend of the Library Award!

Transformative Activity: Thursday, April 13; all day.   Come into the Library and make some art using origami paper, Legos, foam, pipe cleaners, and more!

READ Posters: Tuesday, April 11: 11:00 am-1:00 pm; Wednesday, April 12: 1:30-3:30 pm; Thursday, April 13: 3:30-5:30 pm.   Bring your favorite book, or select one of ours, to have your picture taken for your own personalized READ poster!

Contests: all week.   Tell us your best excuse for why a book was overdue for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card, and guess how many Legos are in the jar at the Reference Desk for a chance to win a $10 Amazon gift card!

Used Book Sale: through April 14.   Books are $.50 each or $1.00 for three, videos are $1.00 each, and magazines are $.10 each. There is also a limited number of furniture for sale!
